Michael Stevenson MRCVS
Michael has been working as a vet for 30 years and has particular interests in surgery, anaesthesia and cardiology. Lameness work ups, orthopaedic injuries and rehabilitation are his main areas of expertise. 


Joanne Stevenson BSc (Hons)

Joanne Stevenson BSc (Hons)
Jot is a veterinary nurse who went on to qualify as an Environmental Health Officer.  During the past few years she also worked in veterinary practice management.  She is now drawing on all of her skills to assist Michael in his new independent venture.


Erika Jones RVN

Erika Jones RVN
Erika has been a qualified nurse for over 20 years and mostly worked alongside Michael as Head Nurse.  Erika brings with her great compassion as well as a wealth of surgical nursing experience.


Lauren Dowdeswell RVN

Lauren qualified as a veterinary nurse 18 months ago,  she is a great asset to our team with her caring nature and professionalism.  She is organised and efficient, and goes the extra mile to assist clients and patients alike.


Claire Toase RVN

Claire qualified in 2008 and has worked most of her nursing career with Erika, Michael and Lauren; so it feels great to have her back with us. She is a great asset to our caring, knowledgeable team.


Emily – Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Emily
Emily joined Stroud Road in April 2022,  She had a BTEC in Animal Management and had previously worked in 2 other practices as Veterinary Nurse Assistant.  She brought with her excellent reception, communication and administrative skills and shows genuine care for patients and clients alike.   She has become a valued member of the Stroud Road Team, super efficient, organised and compassionate.  She qualified as an Animal Nurse Assistant in Summer 2024.


Helen Wood

Helen Wood
Helen has worked as a veterinary receptionist for over 8 years.  She is the welcoming face of the practice, where her natural warmth and empathy makes clients feel valued and reassured.
